Pure Knead and Frannie's Gluten Free: Atlanta's "Little Bakers That Could"

Move out Betty Crocker there's new bakers in town.

Pure Knead and Frannie's Gluten Free are taking the gluten free world by storm. What started as a hobby,  for a mom of a child with food allergies, and a girl who planted her own zucchinis for her cupcakes, has blossomed into a successful,  thriving business.

Pure Knead is a dedicated bakery specializing in allergy friendly fare.  All Pure Knead products are free of gluten, dairy, soy, peanuts, treenuts and shellfish, and are made with natural ingredients. The facility and all products are nationally certified by the Gluten Free Certification Organization.

Their products include two varieties of hamburger buns, hot dog buns, hoagie sandwich rolls, baguettes, rosemary bread braids, artisan boules, and many other specialty bread items. Desserts include cookies, cakes, cupcakes, bread puddings, tarts, and more.

All Pure Knead products are made of all natural ingredients and hand-batched in a dedicated facility certified by the Gluten Free Cerification Organization. All products are gluten free, and contain no dairy, soy, peanuts, treenuts or shellfish.

Frannie's Gluten Free muffins are produced at the Pure Knead facility. Frannie's "Allergy Smart Muffins" are moist, delicious and good for you too. They are gluten, dairy, nut & soy free. Frances Shaw, created the recipes for Frannie’s Gluten Free when she discovered that she had several food allergies. As she learned more about dietary restrictions, she wanted to develop a recipe that she could share with family and friends. After experimenting in the kitchen, she came up with the original zucchini recipe. The result is an amazing gluten free muffin!

Pure Knead and Frannie's Gluten Free hosted a media brunch at the King Plows Art Center to promote their latest venture, introducing their product line to Kroger.

Their products are sold at selected Kroger stores with hopes to expand to other stores.

Currently, 14 stores are carrying the products:
  • Ansley Park (Monroe Drive)
  • Marietta (Lower Roswell Road)
  • Peachtree City (Peachtree Parkway)
  • Decatur (N. Decatur Road)
