How to Build a Resume That Stands Out Visually To Help Your Teen Land Their First Job

But where to start? How do can you create a snapshot of your ambitions, show your strengths and interests and captive an employers attention?
This is the part Canvas comes in and rescues the day. If you are unfamiliar Canvas, this is a graphic-design t…

Atlanta, Let's Build a New Ronald McDonald House #HealKidsATL

Atlanta, we need your help! Our friends at Ronald McDonald House Charities have until December 31 to claim a $2.5 million challenge grant. Help us meet our fundraising goal to build a new Ronald McDonald House so the can provide comfort and hope for families of sick and injured children.
WHY ARMHC NEED A NEW HOUSE
• Since 2011, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC) has had to turn away more than 650 families because rooms weren’t available. With only 11-bedrooms and growing demand, the current House has a waiting list most nights.
• A larger House is needed to fulfill the Charity’s mission of providing temporary housing and support services to families of children receiving medical care in Atlanta.
• To meet this growing need, ARMHC is building a new 31-bedroom, three-story House at the current Peachtree Dunwoody location to replace the existing 11-bedroom facility, nearly tripling our capacity to serve families.

Strong4Life Healthy Back To School Lunch Ideas

Lunch is more than just a break in the day; it’s truly a refueling opportunity for your kids. This is why it’s important that they have a balanced meal with foods that are designed to keep them feeling full for the longest amount of time.  A powerlunch should include a protein and carbohydrates. Note: Protein (ex: lean meats, cheese, hummus, etc.) takes twice as long to digest, which means kids stay fuller longer.  Kids who don’t eat a protein at lunch are the ones who are typically hungry and dissatisfied before the end of the day.   Carbohydrates (ex: 100% whole grain bread, wraps, crackers, pasta, fruit) fuel your kid’s brains and give them energy.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life Registered Dietitian provided the following sample meals (that are fulfilling, easy to make and inexpensive and easy to make)
1.      Gobble Me Up: A turkey sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread, paired with fruit and veggies will keep them going strong through the afternoon.  (100% whole grain …
