Jonny & Xena's Spread the Words Foundation, Inc., Announces Grants to Autism Programs and Animal Rescue in Metro Atlanta Area

More than $20,000 in money and supplies awarded .Johns Creek, GA (January 13, 2016) – The Jonny & Xena's Spread the Words Foundation, Inc. is excited to announce it has raised more than $20,000 in cash and supplies from the inaugural GEICO “Jonny and Xena Spread the Words” 5K/Fun Run which was held at Suwanee Town Center, Suwanee, GA and “I’m Not a Monster” shelter drive benefiting autism programs and animal rescue in the Atlanta Metro Area. The race had over 500 participants including groups of virtual runners representing all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Washington DC, and many countries of the world including Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Korea, Spain, Hong Kong, Mexico, Japan, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. UNICEF'S Kid Power Program Is Coming to Atlanta

GET ACTIVE. SAVE LIVES. UNICEF Kid Power is coming to Atlanta to encourage active lifestyles and global citizenship.  UNICEF today announced the launch of the 2016  KidPower   school program, which will empower 70,000 elementary school children in 13 cities to help save the lives of severely malnourished children around the world. You may have also recently heard about Kid Power when UNICEF announced Pink as an UNICEF ambassador and the program’s national spokesperson.  Third through fifth-graders will receive Kid Power Bands, the world’s first wearable for good™, and a teacher-led classroom curriculum in a 30-day program, called UNICEF Kid Power Month. By being active and having fun, kids can earn points to unlock funding that delivers lifesaving packets of food to severely malnourished children in need.  UNICEF Kid Power Month will take place in Atlanta from February 29 – March 25.  The more kids move, the more points they earn, the more lives they save.
