There are many benefits (and risks) of adolescent employment. The decision to allow your teen to have an after school job should be a well thought-out family decision based on how well they can manage responsibilities, time management and money.

But if your teen is ready to take the plunge the first thing they need to figure out is how to build a resume that stands out even if they don’t have any work experience.

But where to start? How do can you create a snapshot of your ambitions, show your strengths and interests and captive an employers attention?
This is the part Canvas comes in and rescues the day. If you are unfamiliar Canvas, this is a graphic-design t…

You're Invited! A Recipe For Hope Polo Event October 26

This Saturday 10/26, the Atlanta tennis community and top area restaurants, like Buckhead Diner, South City Kitchen and Luciano's (and more), will be launching a new cookbook, “For the Love of Food,” at a polo match at Union Hill Polo Club.  All proceeds from the cookbook will go to Giving Comfort – a program of the McKesson Foundation that provides care packages (called Comfort Kits) containing comfort items to financially-disadvantaged cancer patients (women, men and children) undergoing chemotherapy treatment in the Atlanta area and nationwide.
The effort, which has been led by a woman named Megan Holmes and others in the Atlanta community, has been a great way to mix a few things they love – tennis, cooking and giving back to the community. Megan, who works for McKesson Corporation has seen the impact of the Giving Comfort program and thought the cookbook would be a great way to support the program, particularly because of the great partnerships the program has with area organi…

Sleep Pink In Support Of Breast Cancer! #SleepPink

Host a Sleep Pink Party! Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It seems that everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Breast Cancer is claiming the lives of our mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces and in some cases our men! I lost my mom to Breast Cancer so when I received the news that Estroven, a safe multi-symptom menopause relief solution, wanted me to host a "Sleep Pink" party in support of breast cancer awareness I knew I just couldn't say no.

According to the American Cancer Society, two out of three invasive breast cancers are found in women 55 or older, which means that menopause-aged women are at a substantially increased risk. The direct correlation between menopausal-aged women and an increased risk of breast cancer prompted Estroven’s decision to create the Sleep Pink initiative.

Estroven is inviting everyone to raise funds for The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a pink-themed pajam…

START TAKING CONTROL OF YOU IMPORTANT PHONE CALL CONVERSATIONS

TalkNotes Plus from MobileAppTek is a cool new business app that allows you to enter and review notes during a call. When you receive a call, the app provides additional information on the caller beyond the caller name, like company, department, matter, special note on contact, as well note on the last conversation. TalkNote Plus also allows turning the speakerphone on or off, as well as hanging up. Meanwhile the subjects of previous conversation are visible, with full details just clicks away. A quick menu is provided for the note list, that allows call, SMS, email to contact associated with the note. Tweets and FaceBook posting could also be generated. The email send would include all attached sound and picture files. TalkNotes Plus is also great for busy parents who are constantly juggling life, work, kids and all the extracurricular activities they are involved on a daily basis.
