Losing a pet is one of the most most tragic, traumatic, and emotionally devastating experience a pet owner can face. As a volunteer at a local animal shelter. I constantly see people coming over asking if they can leave a flyer of their missing dog (or cat). The reality is that millions of dogs and cats are lost every year and only a small percentage ever return home. This is why I love Finding Rover so much. This new app can track lost dogs using facial recognition
With this app when you see a lost dog on the street, snap a photo and Finding Rover new facial recognition technology will find the owner. Finding Rover goal is to rescue every lost dog.
Once the app makes a match it will show you the dog on the screen. You can then call the owner or contact them through the app. Before long, the dog will be back home! No more need to pack an unknown dog in your car and take it to a vet to see if it has a microchip. Finding Rover is a free app for iphone and the android version is expected to be released soon.
