Atlanta-area nonprofits will be selected to enjoy a free day of LEGO fun courtesy of charity organization ATLANTA (September 16, 2007) – LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is opening its doors to local charities and nonprofit organizations for a new initiative called Superhero Sundays. Each Sunday, beginning October 5 and running through December 14, the attraction will treat a local nonprofit to a fun-filled outing fit for any family. Charities will spend the day enjoying LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s famed attractions including MINILAND, limited-time Ninjago Laser Maze, the 4D Cinema, Merlin’s Apprentice ride, model building classes and more! The free tickets are made possible by the attraction’s charity arm, Merlin’s Magic Wand. Merlin’s Magic Wand is a charitable organization set up by Merlin Entertainments to deliver magical experiences to ill, disabled and disadvantaged children across the world through visits to Merlin attractions like LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta.

Join the Atlanta attraction each weekend in October for holiday-themed fun! Halloween is bringing scary fun to LEGOLAND® Discovery Center ! Families are invited to join LEGOLAND Discovery Center throughout the day during any weekend in October for Brick-or-Treat . Children can fill their candy baskets by trick-or-treating between decorated LEGOLAND Discovery Center attractions. The festive month will also include “guess the pumpkins” MINILAND scavenger hunts, costume contests, a LEGO ® pumpkin patch and more! Don’t miss out on all the spook-tacular, fall fun!

70 local special needs children will be treated to LEGOLAND Discovery Center visit on February 28 for 100VE. PLAY. LIVE. Celebration On February 28, LEGOLAND Discovery Center will host 70 local children and their families as very special guests for an all-expenses-paid fun day with at the attraction, courtesy of Merlin’s Magic Wand . During the 100VE. PLAY. LIVE. Celebration, taking place 5:00-7:00 p.m., the Atlanta attraction will host children from the Down’s Syndrome Association of Atlanta and the Coralwood Inclusion School. This visit is part of a very special global event to celebrate the opening of Merlin’s 100 th attraction this year, and the children who will visit will be joined by thousands of others across the 22 countries in which Merlin Entertainments operate. The new LEGENDS of CHIMA 4D Movie Experience will debut at LEGOLAND Discovery Center on Saturday, June 8. Join Laval the Lion Prince in the World of Chima as he battles Cragger the Crocodile for the precious energy source, CHI.  Guests can take advantage of popcorn and beverages while enjoying a sneak preview of the new movie before the general public, but the fun doesn’t stop when the movie ends! Children will have an opportunity to meet Laval, and they can also build Speedorz to race and visit the Model Builder’s Academy to participate in additional LEGO building fun!  If this wasn't enough, we've got a CHIMA scavenger hunt that will keep you on your toes regardless of whether this is the first time you have visited our attraction or one of many!
