Atlanta-area nonprofits will be selected to enjoy a free day of LEGO fun courtesy of charity organization ATLANTA (September 16, 2007) – LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is opening its doors to local charities and nonprofit organizations for a new initiative called Superhero Sundays. Each Sunday, beginning October 5 and running through December 14, the attraction will treat a local nonprofit to a fun-filled outing fit for any family. Charities will spend the day enjoying LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s famed attractions including MINILAND, limited-time Ninjago Laser Maze, the 4D Cinema, Merlin’s Apprentice ride, model building classes and more! The free tickets are made possible by the attraction’s charity arm, Merlin’s Magic Wand. Merlin’s Magic Wand is a charitable organization set up by Merlin Entertainments to deliver magical experiences to ill, disabled and disadvantaged children across the world through visits to Merlin attractions like LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta.

The spookiest time of year is almost here! LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta invites families to celebrate Halloween with Brick-or-Treat Weekends in October. As part of the festivities, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta is also hosting a Best Pumpkin Build contest! Children are encouraged to create a festive pumpkin from LEGO bricks during their visit, and the staff will select the best build to win a Family 4 Pack of tickets. The Best Pumpkin Build contest runs throughout the entire month of October. Entries can be submitted by building a pumpkin on site and leaving it in the attraction’s Pumpkin Patch. Children can participate in cow-themed contests, activities and giveaways * We just got confirmation from Legoland that this event has been cancelled.  Families are invited to join LEGOLAND Discovery Center and Chick-fil-A to prepare for Cow Appreciation Day! On Tuesday, July 9 , from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. , children can learn how to build their own mini LEGO cows, play fun games and get goodies from Chick-fil-A on the second level of Phipps Plaza above Monarch Court. On Thursday June 6th, Atlanta Legoland Discovery Center, welcomed a selected group families, to preview the much anticipated new Legends of CHIMA 4D movie.   The new 12 minute animated 4D film, complete with high-impact special effects, will immerse audiences in the fantastical LEGO world of Chima where tribes of animal warriors compete in epic battles for “CHI” – a mystical energy source of limitless power and destruction. The new LEGENDS of CHIMA 4D Movie Experience will debut at LEGOLAND Discovery Center on Saturday, June 8. Join Laval the Lion Prince in the World of Chima as he battles Cragger the Crocodile for the precious energy source, CHI.  Guests can take advantage of popcorn and beverages while enjoying a sneak preview of the new movie before the general public, but the fun doesn’t stop when the movie ends!
