Georgia SPCA 5th Annual Fundraiser Gala “An Evening in Paris” is hosting a pet/owner look a like contest from April 16-May 16th on their Facebook page. They are asking people to send in pictures of them with their pets to qualify. Last day to send in pictures will be May 16th. Georgia SPCA will post it in a picture album and then the like can begin! Children are invited to illustrate their favorite memories of a frozen Atlanta   Calling all aspiring artists!  In honor of the city’s recent winter weather weirdness,  The Children’s Museum of Atlanta  is teaming up with the  Atlanta Regional Commission  to host a “ Snow Show”  artwork exhibit! From building snowmen, spending the night with friends or just enjoying time with family when the power went out, children are encouraged to channel their inner Picasso and recreate their favorite memories during the snow and ice days in early February. To be eligible for the Snow Show, all artwork must be mailed or delivered to The Children’s Museum of Atlanta by  Friday, March 14 . The top 20 pieces will be framed and displayed at The Children’s Museum during the American Planning Association (APA) Conference April 26-30. Cupid is aiming his bow and arrow for The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation's "Cupid at the Castle" event on Valentine's Day 2013, and one lucky couple will be selected to say "I do" free of charge.  Email specialevents@georgiatrust.org explaining why you and your loved one want to say "I do" in a castle and you could be selected for one of the half-hour Valentine's Day time slots to have a fairy-tale wedding or vow renewal at Rhodes Hall, Atlanta's "castle on Peachtree."   Couples may invite up to 35 guests and Cupid will handle the rest. Cupid at the Castle provides a fully decorated, romantic setting for ceremonies with Victorian-style décor as well as a bouquet, a minister, music for the walk down the aisle, and champagne and cupcakes for the couple to make a toast afterward.
