BEST PLACE TO LAY DOWN YOUR TOWEL Park near the Tybee Beach Beach and Pavilion ( Tybrisa St, Tybee Island, GA 31328) use the bridge in front of the Tybee Island Marine Center turn right and walk towards the rock formation close to the sand dunes. This portion of the beach has a smoother sand, lots of shallow areas that are perfect for little kids to bathe safely, is less crowded, and because it's close to the sand dunes you will see a large variety of seaside birds.
Oh happiness! There's nothing like using your taste buds to explore a neighborhood. This past Saturday, I was invited by Atlanta Culinary Tours to experience a delicious culinary journey through Brookhaven. Atlanta Culinary Tours are basically a progressive dinner party in which the host, in this case a particular eatery or restaurant, present a dish along with the history, and technique behind it. Culinary tours are a great way to "savor" a city and experience local cuisine. Our first stop was Newks Cafe , a n express casual dining experience in a refreshing and stylish atmosphere with an emphasis on freshness and flavor. At Newks we sampled 3 types of sandwiches, 2 different types of soup, 2 side items and basically every single dessert on the menu. Their must try menu item is the Newks "Q": White BBQ sauce, grilled chicken breast, Applewood smoked bacon and melted Swiss cheese. The sandwich is to die for. http://www.newkscafe.co...
