BEST PLACE TO LAY DOWN YOUR TOWEL Park near the Tybee Beach Beach and Pavilion ( Tybrisa St, Tybee Island, GA 31328) use the bridge  in front of the Tybee Island Marine Center  turn right and walk towards the rock formation close to the sand dunes. This portion of the beach has a smoother sand, lots of shallow areas that are perfect for little kids to bathe safely, is less crowded, and because it's close to the sand dunes you will see a large variety of seaside birds.

The best thing about living in Atlanta is how much everyone loves their dogs! ATLANTA (October 13, 2015)  – Who let the dogs out?  The Atlanta Botanical Garden doesn’t know but happily will welcome them inside its iron gates Saturday, December 5  –  just this one day of the year – for the much-anticipated Reindog Parade. During the eighth annual event, which begins at 11 a.m., pups clad in their finest holiday attire will parade across a stage before a panel of judges to compete for prizes -- or just to show off for fun. Categories include Best Puppy, Best Adult, Best Botanical, Best Dog-Owner Dress-alike, Best Dog Pack, and ultimately, Best in Show. Emceeing the competition will be Atlanta resident Victoria Stilwell, host of the Animal Planet cable TV show “It’s Me or the Dog,” and Atlanta TV and radio personality Holly Firfer. Canine Cellmates Heading to Paws In The Park Expo/Walk this Weekend!

Spread the word! Our friends at Canine CellMates  will have a booth at Paws in the Park expo/walk this weekend. If you are heading to Centennial Olympic Park  this Sunday from 12-5pm don't forget to stop by and learn more about this wonderful program.  Canine CellMates is a jail dogs program that operates out of Fulton County Jail, in Atlanta, Georgia.    The mission  of Canine CellMates is to establish a continuing partnership between Fulton County Animal Services, the Fulton County Sheriffs Office and Fulton County Jail, and Canine CellMates to rehabilitate inmates housed at Fulton County Jail and homeless dogs from Fulton County Animal Services through a Good Behavior Incentive program.    http://www.pawsintheparkatlanta.com/

Strut Your Mutt at Georgia SPCA 3rd Annual Run For The Rescues 5K Fun Run and Festival

When: March 23, 2013 Fun Run: 8:30 a 5K Race: 9:15 a Where: Suwanee Town Center   Strut your Mutt at the Georgia SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) 3rd Annual Run for the Rescues 5K, Fun Run and Festival. This event will take place in the beautiful Suwanee Town Center Park in the Heart of Suwanee. We encourage everyone to bring their dogs for this run to benefit homeless pets.  In addition to the race, there will be a Festival at the Suwanee Town Center from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Enjoy food and beverage, arts and crafts, inflatables for the kids and treats for dogs, cats and runners alike. Vendors of all kinds will have samples and products for sale. The Gwinnett PD is presenting a demonstration with a K-9 unit, and Smart Critters is doing an agility/frisbee demo. Many local rescues will be there with dogs for adoption.
