  Save the date for Tunes from the Tombs, Historic Oakland Cemetery’s annual all-day music festival, 1-8 p.m. (gates open at noon), June 14, featuring musicians performing in and amongst Oakland’s extraordinary monuments, mausoleums and renowned gardens. Two main stages will host amplified artists, while buskers will perform on distinct vignette stages throughout the cemetery. From rock to folk, Americana to jazz and classical to everything in between, a variety of tunes will entice everyone to boogie down. On Saturday June 8 th , people from all over Atlanta gathered at the Historic Oakland Cemetery, to take part of Tombs From The Tombs, the cemetery third annual fundraiser.   This year Oakland Cemetery received a record breaking attendance proving to the world that partying and picnicking among the dead is a fun thing to do.     To soothe people's spirits, TUNES FROM THE TOMBS offered plenty of beer and wine. Local Atlanta food trucks served a variety of tasty festival fare.   Festival attendees enjoyed complimentary guided mini-tour, and had their fortunes read by Atlanta’s own, Robyn Avalon. Oakland Cemetery is a 48- acre Victorian-style garden cemetery founded in 1850.
