Surrounded by a deep blue ocean, coastal lowlands and a mountainous interior lies “Borikén”, a tiny enchanted island full of myths, stories and history.  Puerto Rico, previously named “Borikén” by the Taíno Indians, is an island of surrealistic beauty, and impossibly bright blue skies.  The Taínos were friendly and peaceful Indians who were farmers and fishermen.    They called their island paradise “Borikén” which means: "the great land of the valiant and noble Lord" or "land of the great lords". For spring break,  I decided to pack my bags and head off to Puerto Rico, "The Island of Enchantment".
