Variety of Georgia the Children’s Charity and Atlanta-Are Simon Malls Join to Collect Supplies for Local School children.




For over 80 years, Variety of Georgia’s mission has been to aid and enhance the lives of children in need who may be challenged by physical and/or mental disabilities, poverty, abuse or neglect. Now through Tuesday, August 2, Variety of Georgia and Atlanta-area Simon malls will team up to collect back-to-school supplies for disadvantaged youth in the Metro-Atlanta area, giving young students the ability to enter a new school year full of hope. School supply donations are welcomed at the following Atlanta malls: Gwinnett Place, Lenox Square, Mall of Georgia, Northlake Mall, Phipps Plaza and Town Center at Cobb.

Collection boxes for the supplies will be located at the Simon Guests Services booth of participating Simon Malls in and around Metro Atlanta. Items accepted include pens, pencils, notebook paper, glue, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, folders and binders. Variety of Georgia will fill and deliver 2,500 backpacks with school supplies for distribution to local schools and shelter.
