BEST PLACE TO LAY DOWN YOUR TOWEL Park near the Tybee Beach Beach and Pavilion ( Tybrisa St, Tybee Island, GA 31328) use the bridge  in front of the Tybee Island Marine Center  turn right and walk towards the rock formation close to the sand dunes. This portion of the beach has a smoother sand, lots of shallow areas that are perfect for little kids to bathe safely, is less crowded, and because it's close to the sand dunes you will see a large variety of seaside birds.

Food Musings: A Peek Inside Plaza Fiesta Food Court

With the panorama of the Atlanta skyline as the background lies Plaza Fiesta, an often overlooked building by many metro Atlantans.

This is not your traditional “lifestyle” mall. This is a place where worlds collide. One you step in you feel like you are in a totally different country.

Personally, Plaza Fiesta gave me flashbacks of my years in Guadalajara. When you enter, the first thing that hits you is color! Quinceañera dresses, Madonnas, “zapatillas de futbol” (soccer shoes) and Mexican garlands are hung everywhere.

Your eyes don't know where or what to look first. Is a full blown sensory overload. However, the best part of this place is the collection of unique eateries. I swear, Plaza Fiesta is the perfect place for a Food Network episode.

So if you are feeling adventurous, and want to try something new give it a try. Sundays are the best day to visit since they have live mariachis. One word of advice, bring cash since most eateries are “cash-only”.

Plaza fiesta is located at 4166 Buford Highway, Atlanta, GA 30345

  4. Actually, this place even have it's own farmer's market. It's huge almost like a maze. I wished I was able to take more pics but with the new immigration law merchants get very nervous when they see someone taking pics.
