How to Build a Resume That Stands Out Visually To Help Your Teen Land Their First Job

Creating a captivating resume that sparkles bright enough to catch an employer's attention is an art on its own terms.

There are many benefits (and risks) of adolescent employment. The decision to allow your teen to have an after school job should be a well thought-out family decision based on how well they can manage responsibilities, time management and money.

But if your teen is ready to take the plunge the first thing they need to figure out is how to build a resume that stands out even if they don’t have any work experience.

But where to start? How do can you create a snapshot of your ambitions, show your strengths and interests and captive an employers attention?

Georgia vs Georgia Tech Baseball Teams to Battle in 11th Annual Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids

In-state rivals clash to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

We are heading to the Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids at Turner Field on Tuesday, April 23 as Georgia and Georgia Tech meet in this annual neutral-site showdown. With more than 20,000 tickets sold each year, the Kauffman Tire Spring Classic is one of the highest-attended regular season NCAA baseball games every season.

Proceeds from the event benefit the pediatric research of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Neurosciences Program.  The Children's Neurosciences Program collaborates with other institutions to discover preventative and curative strategies for children with serious medical illnesses or challenges.

“We support the Spring Classic for Kids because it’s such a positive event for the community,” said Mark Kauffman, President of Kauffman Tire. “Our company is proud to be affiliated with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, an organization committed to providing the best possible care for Atlanta’s families.”

Fans can also support Children’s and their favorite team through the Text-to-Give Challenge. A $10 donation can be made by texting either ‘TECH’ or ‘DAWGS’ to 50555.

This is a one-time donation, and the school with the most texts will be announced during the game.

This is the second of three meetings between Georgia and Georgia Tech this season. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Bulldogs 7-5 in Athens on April 9, and they will meet again May 14 at Russ Chandler Stadium. Georgia leads the Kauffman Tire Spring Classic series with a 7-3 record.

General admission tickets are $12. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.choa.org/springclassic. Tickets are also available at Turner Field the day of the event. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
