Is be kind to animals week and The Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals needs your help placing abandoned, unwanted and abused cats and dogs into loving homes.  They receive  pets from many places, including from families in the community who can no longer care for their pet, and from law enforcement agencies that have taken in abused pets, but our main focus is to rescue cats and dogs from animal control facilities around the state that euthanize for space. When considering getting a new pet please visit you local shelter first. At Georgia SPCA they have a special program called
Paws for Consideration that allows you to take a pet home before adoption to see how the pet will fit into your family and home environment.  This kind of approach will lead to better outcomes for our families and pets alike.
