There are many benefits (and risks) of adolescent employment. The decision to allow your teen to have an after school job should be a well thought-out family decision based on how well they can manage responsibilities, time management and money.


But if your teen is ready to take the plunge the first thing they need to figure out is how to build a resume that stands out even if they don’t have any work experience.

Release Your Inner Superhero and Join All The Happy People at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Strong4Life 5k Run June 8


Join Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta for a brand new 5K and 1 mile "fun run" event on Sat., June 8, 2013. This family event at Piedmont Park will benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Strong4Life movement, dedicated to reversing the epidemic of childhood obesity and its associated diseases in Georgia. 

By going just 5K on June 8 you can help raise the funds needed for Strong4Life to reach even more families through school and provider training programs, community partnerships and policy change efforts.

Date / Times: Saturday, June 08, 2013 -

7:00 a.m. - Race Day Registration Opens
8:00 a.m. - 5K Run
9:00 a.m. - 1 mile Fun Run
9:45 a.m. - Costume Contest


Registration Fees and Options


5K Run - $25.00 per person
1 mile Fun Run - $20.00 for adults
1 mile Fun  Run - $12.00 for children 12 and under
Phantom Runner - $30.00 per person
(By supporting this fundraiser as a Phantom Runner, you will not be registered for the race but you will receive a race technical shirt in the mail the week following the event.)

Register online or at any Big Peach Running Company store location between April 8 and June 6. 
Costume Contest: Come dressed as your favorite superhero or even as your favorite dad as Father's Day is right around the corner.  We will have a costume contest for children, adults and teams. 

Team Contests: We would love to have teams for this super fun event. We will have team contests for best team t-shirts, best team spirit, best team superhero costume and most creative so get your team together now. Teams can also win prizes like a  team table or a 10 x 10 tent. Prizes are based on the funds raised by the team overall.
