Gwinnett County Fair: For the 59th year, the annual event that attracts thousands of visitors to the fairgrounds in Lawrenceville is back. Fair runs from September 12, 2013 through September 22, 2013.

Duluth Concert and Fireworks: This year's concert is Saturday, September 14, 2013. Concert begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Duluth Festival Center amphitheatre. After the concert, stay and enjoy a fabulous fireworks display courtesy of the City of Duluth! The fireworks display was originally part of the Duluth Celebrates America event that was rained out on July 3rd. FREE ADMISSION!

Peter Rabbit at the Center For Puppetry Arts: Thistle Theatre captures the beloved world of Beatrix Potter by combining "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" with "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny." One lovely morning Peter’s sisters Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail obediently pick berries, but Peter goes on a daring adventure in Mr. McGregor’s garden. After losing his clean blue jacket in a narrow escape, Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny venture once more into the garden to retrieve it. Will Peter and Benjamin safely escape again?

Disney Doc McStuffins Mobile Tour at Centennial Park: Disney Junior is bringing The Doc Mobile to Centennial Olympic Park on 9/14 ! Join us for a family-fun event focused on healthy living as kids see “there’s so much you can do to take care of you!” They’ll be moving & shaking along to their favorite Doc songs with Radio Disney Junior, and experiencing activities showing them how to make a healthy plate and the importance of drinking enough water. Be sure to bring a toy so kids can be just like Doc and give their toy a check-up inside Doc’s clinic! Doc’s got just the right diagnosis that makes staying healthy and doctor visits so much fun for your little one!

Adventures Through Words: Wild About Books at the Children's Museum of Atlanta: You're invited to go on an Adventure Through Words in our new literacy programming: Wild About Books! Join the Imaginators and embark on an exciting journey through the world of books with story-time, letter scavenger hunts, crafts, and dancing to the tunes of Alphabet Rock. During Wild About Books, children and their caregivers can attend a puppet show where they will meet Mr. E as he discovers the mysteries of vowels and consonants while joining forces to form the words of our world. In other programming, children will also be challenged to un-scramble letters to form simple words that weave the tale of classic children's stories. Guests are also invited to join in a fast-paced alphabet scavenger hunt while movin’ and groovin’ to the Little Club Heads' fun dance version of the Alphabet Song.

When you have pets at home like us, it is very common to become noseblind, to the lingering odor they leave behind. We have two dogs, two cats, and we often foster rescues until they are ready to be adopted. The problem of becoming noseblind, is that you always have the doubt in the back of your mind that your house smells funny. 

I don't know about you but I panic when I know someone is coming over to visit. I clean the house from top to bottom, but I'm never fully satisfied because I always worry about odor infestation, in other words, what your guests overwhelmingly smell as soon as they walk in the door. Let's be real, we all know that person that can track scents like bloodhound. They can follow the scent trail and no matter how well you clean they can always find it.

My Stress-Free Thanksgiving Dinner - Why Honeybaked Ham is My New Best Friend

No matter how much I plan a sensible Thanksgiving dinner, I always over-plan, over-work, and over-spend. This year I'll try a different approach. Cook as little as possible and leave the rest to Honeybaked ham. I'm willing to cook a 30 minute side dish (just one) and bake a simple dessert (apple crème brûlée bread pudding) but besides those two things (that can easily be made the day ahead) my kitchen will not be open during the holidays.
This year I choose to be happy and stress free for Thanksgiving. I refuse to slave all day in the kitchen. As much as I enjoy cooking there are days I wish I have a personal chef at home that could cook for me. My landlord has finally decided that's time to paint and the house and has allow us to choose the color scheme. Needless to say,  I immediately went online and searched for "dream houses" in order to find the inspiration needed to pick our color scheme. Here are the top contenders:
