Taste of Atlanta Amps Up the Volume for Legendary Food Festival with Atlanta’s Taste Revival: Local Chefs, Smokin’ Jams Kick Off Party on October 25

2013 Festival Fires up with Tastes and Tunes to Benefit Georgia Organics

ATLANTA (September 4, 2013) –To kick off the city’s most anticipated food festival, Taste of Atlanta is serving up a fusion of incredible food and rockin’ music – block party style! On Friday, October 25 from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. in Midtown at Tech Square, food lovers and music fans can join Chef Host Ron Eyester and other local celebrity chefs, as they serve up specialties inspired by their favorite bands, musicians and songs at Atlanta’s Taste Revival: Local Chefs, Smokin’ Jams.

The all-inclusive evening will feature live Southern rock music from Parker Smith and the Bandwith, as well as cold beer, cocktails and the best bites in the city! Ron Eyester—owner and executive chef of Rosebud, The Family Dog and his latest concept, Timone’s Pizza—will host the event. Other participating top chefs and restaurants include: Ford Fry of JCT. Kitchen & Bar, No. 246, The Optimist and King + Duke, Gunshow’s Kevin Gillespie, One Eared Stag’s Robert Phalen and Rathbun’s Kevin Rathbun.

Additional restaurants, including BoccaLupo, Food 101, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Seven Lamps, Wrecking Bar Brewpub and Taqueria del Sol, will also be onsite to dish out their signature tastes. Best of all, a portion of the proceeds from Atlanta’s Taste Revival benefits Georgia Organics, a local non-profit that connects organic food from Georgia farms to Georgia families.

“Two of my passions in life are food and music, and this event combines both in a big way to kick off the festival weekend,” said Chef Host Ron Eyester. “I've been very impressed with how Taste of Atlanta has evolved in recent years, and I am thrilled to take a more active role this year as Atlanta’s Taste Revival host. This Friday night celebration not only allows local chefs to get creative with recipes and restaurants to gain valuable exposure, but it also provides guests with an opportunity to enjoy good grub and rock out!”
