BEST PLACE TO LAY DOWN YOUR TOWEL Park near the Tybee Beach Beach and Pavilion ( Tybrisa St, Tybee Island, GA 31328) use the bridge in front of the Tybee Island Marine Center turn right and walk towards the rock formation close to the sand dunes. This portion of the beach has a smoother sand, lots of shallow areas that are perfect for little kids to bathe safely, is less crowded, and because it's close to the sand dunes you will see a large variety of seaside birds.

I'm so excited to tell you about the latest fundraising initiative of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. They are partnering with Miracle Network for this year Miracle Marathon. I was able to meet with the amazing team of Children's Healthcare and Miracle Network to learn more about this project.

What is Miracle Marathon? Miracle Marathon is the marathon anyone can finish, while helping Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta! Watch this video to learn more! Miracle Marathon is basically a 27.2 day virtual fundraising campaign in which participants run/walk (or achieve forward motion) one mile per day at their your leisure. Each day, CMN Hospitals will send challenges or motivational messages with the goal of building an interactive, online community of participants.
The
first 26 days are completed at the participant’s own leisure—at a
time and place of their own choosing. On day 27, the final 1.2 miles
will be completed as a group, and no matter where you are in the
world, all participants will start their last 1.2 miles at the same
time. This will create potential for a large public awareness
opportunity.
Every
day, just move for one mile. You can walk, run, bike, skate, jump,
hop, or any kind of exercise achieving one mile per day. Complete
your mile any time of the day, and with friends, family, co-workers
or by yourself!
What
happens on October 27th?
At
2:27pm Eastern Standard Time, we will all walk our last 1.2 miles
together. No matter where you are, let’s complete our journey
together, all at the same time.

Each
participant is encouraged to raise $272 and become a “Miracle
Marathoner”! By raising $10 a day, you become part of our official
club, and qualify for great incentives. Raising funds is easy, and
every day, you will receive fundraising tips, challenges and ideas to
help you achieve your goal.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given it stays in the community, helping local kids.
