How to Build a Resume That Stands Out Visually To Help Your Teen Land Their First Job

Creating a captivating resume that sparkles bright enough to catch an employer's attention is an art on its own terms.

With the ramp up pressure kids experience at school and the need to sign up to too many extracurricular activities, it’s no surprise how the number of teens employed have been declining over the past decades.
There are many benefits (and risks) of adolescent employment. The decision to allow your teen to have an after school job should be a well thought-out family decision based on how well they can manage responsibilities, time management and money.

But if your teen is ready to take the plunge the first thing they need to figure out is how to build a resume that stands out even if they don’t have any work experience.

But where to start? How do can you create a snapshot of your ambitions, show your strengths and interests and captive an employers attention?

Animal Emergency Center of North Fulton To Host a National Pet Fire Safety and Awareness Event on July 13

Animal Emergency Center of North Fulton is hosting a safety event to help educate the public about pet fire safety and disaster preparedness. Home fires are the most common disaster and also the most preventable. According to the United States Fire Administration, an estimated 500,000 pets are affected annually by fires.

The best way to protect your pets from the effects of a fire is to include them in your family plan. This includes having their own disaster supplies kit as well as arranging in advance for a safe place for them to stay if you need to leave your home. In the event of a disaster, if you must evacuate, the most important thing you can do to protect your pets is to evacuate them, too.

National Pet Fire Safety and Awareness event open to the public! Sunday, July 13th from 12:00pm until 4:00pm. There are no fees to come down and enjoy a nice day with your pets and family.

We have invited the local American Red cross, fire and police departments to come and talk with the public about how to stay safe, and how to evacuate those you love during life threatening disasters.

  • Location: Mansell Oaks Plaza, 900 Mansell Rd. Roswell, Georgia 30076
  • Phone number: Animal Emergency Center of North Fulton 770-594-2266
  • When: Sunday, July 13th 2014
  • Time: 12:00pm-4:00pm
