How to Build a Resume That Stands Out Visually To Help Your Teen Land Their First Job

Creating a captivating resume that sparkles bright enough to catch an employer's attention is an art on its own terms.

There are many benefits (and risks) of adolescent employment. The decision to allow your teen to have an after school job should be a well thought-out family decision based on how well they can manage responsibilities, time management and money.

But if your teen is ready to take the plunge the first thing they need to figure out is how to build a resume that stands out even if they don’t have any work experience.

But where to start? How do can you create a snapshot of your ambitions, show your strengths and interests and captive an employers attention?

Mcdonald’s Customers Raise Funds For Atlanta Ronald Mcdonald House Charities Children And Families

ATLANTA, GA – Starting May 1 through May 31, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC) is encouraging Metro-Atlanta to support Lovin’ #forRMHC by visiting a participating McDonald’s restaurant and purchasing a paper Heart for $1, $3 or $5.

Proceeds from every Heart purchase will go directly to supporting ARMHC and its mission of providing temporary housing and support services to families of sick and injured children being treated at local hospitals. Last year, more than $168,000 was raised from 300 Atlanta area restaurants.

Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities offers services and programs that strengthen families of sick kids during difficult times and provides them with comfort, care and support,” said Beth Howell, President and CEO of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. “The continued support of McDonald’s and its customers through programs like Lovin’ #forRMHC ensures we’re able to keep families together and allow them to focus on what matters most, the healing and recovery of their child.”

For 40 years, and with the support of Mission Partner McDonald’s, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has worked to help critically-ill children heal with their family by their side. Since 2003, the restaurant chain and its customers have helped raise more than $47.7 million nationally to help the Charity ensure children and families can cope and heal together.

About Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities:
ARMHC is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to serving the needs of families by providing support and a home away from home for families of ill and injured children being treated in local hospitals. The two Atlanta Houses have provided a home away from home to more than 45,000 families since the first Atlanta House opened in 1979. For more information about ARMHC, please visit www.armhc.org.

At the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House, families can enjoy many of the comforts of home, receive nutritious meals prepared and served by volunteers and obtain emotional support through contact with other families experiencing similar situations. No family is turned away if they cannot afford the small $20 requested contribution and many of these families stay at the Ronald McDonald House for weeks, and sometimes months, while their children receive medical treatment.
