georgia gives day

Georgia Gives Day is a collaboration of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN) in partnership with participating nonprofits like us, state agencies, corporations and businesses, associations, foundations and public relations and advertising firms. It’s an opportunity for organizations like ours to mobilize all of our supporters and show the impact that we can make on causes that we love in one day. 24 hours. Today we are asking you to show your support for the Georgia Boy Choir.

The Georgia Boy Choir, take very seriously our role in building tomorrow’s leaders through the power of music. That power transcends culture and breaks down barriers of language, race, and creed helping to mold boys into young men of admirable character, who will be leaders in their homes, their temples and churches, their schools, their communities, and in the world. Boys who sing in the Georgia Boy Choir can and will be tomorrow’s CEO, four-star general or even president, and in addition to establishing a legacy of musical excellence, we understand our responsibility in helping them to get there. The Georgia Boy Choir which carries on a centuries old tradition of boys singing and developing the unchanged voice, operates on a five-tier system of musical education for boys as young as five years old through high school, and aims to reach the highest level of musical excellence possible while developing leadership skills, teaching self-discipline and instilling character traits. A boy who becomes a member of the Georgia Boy Choir is in for one of the best experiences of his life as he learns to be the very best boy he can be both musically and personally.

The funds raise make it possible for any boy regardless of economic circumstance to be a member of the choir and obtain the top notch music education and myriad of life experiences that only the Georgia Boy Choir can offer. That's where you come in. We need your support and today is the perfect day for you to show how much you believe in the work we are doing. Don't Go Noseblind! Breathe Happy With Febreze {Review + Giveaway}

*This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.*

When you have pets at home like us, it is very common to become noseblind, to the lingering odor they leave behind. We have two dogs, two cats, and we often foster rescues until they are ready to be adopted. The problem of becoming noseblind, is that you always have the doubt in the back of your mind that your house smells funny.

I don't know about you but I panic when I know someone is coming over to visit. I clean the house from top to bottom, but I'm never fully satisfied because I always worry about odor infestation, in other words, what your guests overwhelmingly smell as soon as they walk in the door. Let's be real, we all know that person that can track scents like bloodhound. They can follow the scent trail and no matter how well you clean they can always find it.

My Stress-Free Thanksgiving Dinner - Why Honeybaked Ham is My New Best Friend

Don't sweat the small stuff! Have a Happy Thanksgiving with Honeybaked Ham!
No matter how much I plan a sensible Thanksgiving dinner, I always over-plan, over-work, and over-spend. This year I'll try a different approach. Cook as little as possible and leave the rest to Honeybaked ham. I'm willing to cook a 30 minute side dish (just one) and bake a simple dessert (apple crème brûlée bread pudding) but besides those two things (that can easily be made the day ahead) my kitchen will not be open during the holidays.
This year I choose to be happy and stress free for Thanksgiving. I refuse to slave all day in the kitchen. As much as I enjoy cooking there are days I wish I have a personal chef at home that could cook for me. Since I don't see this remotely happening, the best thing I could do is order the Honeybaked Ham Whole Turkey Feast. Perfect for the Holidays and special celebrations, this gourmet feast includes a whole roasted turkey, old-fashioned cornbread dressing, …
