Lift Up Atlanta, Inc. Holds Annual Christmas extravaganza In Support Of Homeless Women And Children On December 6, 2014


Georgia based nonprofit, Lift Up Atlanta, Inc. announces its Annual Christmas Extravaganza to benefit homeless women and children. The event will be held December 6th, noon – 6pm, at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall Building, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville, GA.

The Gwinnett County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall will be transformed for the day into a 25,000 square foot Winter Wonderland filled with holiday activities for the entire community to participate in.

 The Christmas Extravaganza will include: 
  • An entertainment stage featuring live, home-grown local talent
  • Holiday shopping at over 40 vendor booths, all selling unique, homemade crafts and treats
  • Santa for the kids
  • Face painting and games for the kids
  • A free “Taste of Christmas” dessert bar, featuring holiday sweets

For the admission price of either a small cash donation OR a new toy as a gift for a homeless child, the community can enjoy an afternoon of family, food and fun.

The event will also include a Christmas toy giveaway specifically for the homeless children of LUA, Inc. and also a Silent Auction fundraiser to benefit homeless families of LUA, Inc.

Lift Up Atlanta, Inc. will be collecting newly purchased toys for its toy drive at the drop off locations throughout the city. According to LUA’s Executive Director, Rosalind Garner, “One of LAU’s goals is to shine a bright spot light on the unique problems facing homeless women and children.  This is one of our biggest annual fundraisers and we look forward to having a great amount of support from the community.”
