Help Nellie Find Her Fur-ever Home

This pet is eligible for the GASPCA "Paws for Consideration" program. Take her home for a few days and see if they fit into your household. Nellie is one of our sweet Momma dogs who brought us a litter of beautiful puppies. All of her puppies have been adopted and now Nellie is ready for a forever home of her own. Nellie has had a hard life so far. Here is what her foster Mom has to say about her: "Nellie was brought to us by a volunteer who found her on the streets. She was so thin and malnourished that we didn't think she would make it. When we found out that she was pregnant, we just knew we had to at least give her a chance. We called her Little Piggy because she was eating 8 times a day at first. She gave birth to 7 babies who were very happy and healthy. The puppies were all adopted before Christmas and are all doing well.    Nellie overcame her next hurdle with successful heartworm treatment and she now has lots and lots of energy and...

Georgia SPCA There's No Place Like Home 4th Annual Benefit Bash Recap

On September 7 th , Georgia SPCA volunteers and supporters gathered at the Gwinnett Center Ballroom for magical evening full of lions, scarecrows, witches, and evil monkeys. They are unaffiliated with any other rescue organization including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), and they receive no governmental or state funds to support their operations.    Most of the shelter income is generated from donations or proceeds from fundraisers like “There's no place like home” benefit bash.    The cost to attend the fundraiser was $50 and included a dinner provided by Proof of the Pudding, an entry for a raffle for a hot air balloon ride for two, a silent auction, and plenty of dancing pro...

Help Bella Find a New Happy Home

"As any dog owner knows, coming home to your dog is one of the most joyous events of the day – both for you and your dog". Hi, I'm Bella an 8 month old boxer mix with lots of energy and personality. I am very smart and have learned to sit and give my paw. When my foster Mom puts my food on the ground, I sit patiently and wait until she says I can eat. This is really hard for a playful dog like me but I am a real people pleaser and love to learn and explore new things. Squeaky toys make my day but since I am still a puppy, I can go through several a week. I will need an active family that likes to go on daily walks and a fenced yard so I can play. I love kids and other dogs, I am house trained and I really love car rides! If you think I could be a great addition to your family and your willing to continue my training, give my foster Mom Diana a call and we can set up a meeting!! 770 676 6052  Georgia SPCA dog and puppy adoption fees ...

A Home For Angelina

Angelina Beams Happiness as She Is Visited By Foster Family Foster families play an important role for shelters like Georgia SPCA. They not only help animals in a critical part of their life, but they provide love, shelter and affection to animals who have been discarded, abused, abandoned and exploited by society.  The dog on this photo is Angelina. We took care of her and her six puppies until they were strong enough to be adopted . Angelina's pups are now living with wonderful families and now is her time to shine and find a family of her own. Angelina is great around kids, dogs, and gets along well with cats. We have two cats at home and we never had a problem with her. She loves sitting on your lap and give you kisses. She walks nicely on a leash and looks ADORABLE in pink. ...
